Douglas Wright, a Former Partner at Holland & Knight, Has Passed Away

Doug Wright served in numerous positions at Holland & Knight, focusing on human resources, operations, marketing, and information technology. His leadership and compassion were widely recognized among his colleagues. He served on the Bob Graham Center’s Council of Advisors, and he was an integral part of the firm’s charitable efforts.

Douglas Wright was an emeritus faculty member of the Levin School of Law and served on the boards of several nonprofits, including Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay and The Salvation Army. His life was rich in meaning, and he had a keen sense of humor. His death is a tragedy, but his legacy will be carried forward at Holland & Knight.

Doug Wright worked for Holland & Knight for more than 10 years, and was responsible for many aspects of the firm’s operations. In addition to overseeing the firm’s human resources department, he was also an active member of many boards and was an advocate for social justice.

Doug Wright spent his entire legal career at Holland & Knight, serving in several positions and on many boards. In addition to his legal work, he was active in the community, serving on the boards of United Cerebral Palsy in Tampa Bay, United Cerebral Palsy in New York, and Greenpeace Canada. He was also active in the Bob Graham Public Service Middle.

After graduating from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Wright joined Holland & Knight and was assigned to the firm’s Tampa office. He was a partner in the firm’s private wealth services department at the time of the incident. In December 2003, Wright’s inappropriate behavior was exposed, leading to his indefinite suspension.

Knight’s portraits, landscapes, and rural scenes are considered his best works. He worked as a portrait painter before concentrating on his favorite subjects: landscapes and rural scenes.
